New! Teacher Kits from "Teaching Tolerance!"
In advance of Morris Dees's presentation on November 7, 2002, we have received several teacher kits from "Teaching
Tolerance" that are now available at the NMFHRP office for preview:
- America's Civil Rights Movement (grades 7-12)--Academy Award-winning documentary
- The Shadow of Hate (grades 9-12)--Academy Award nominee
- A Place at the Table (grades 8-12)--Students discuss the struggles of their parents and grandparents in America
- Starting Small: Teaching Tolerance in Preschool and the Early Grades--a video for teachers of grades K-3
Each kit contains a video (anywhere from 30-60 minutes) and a teacher manual. Additional student booklets and copies
of the video are available from "Teaching Tolerance," but you may preview them at and borrow them from our office.
